                                                                           (NOW IN LAS VEGAS, NEVADA)

I have appraised collector vehicles for over thirty years and come from a background in the automotive business of over fifty years as a salesman, sales manager, dealer, marketing director, racer and team manager. My first race was at Willow Springs in 1957.  My last at Palm Springs in 1991. As an expert witness in valuation, authenticity, carbon fiber damage and hidden assets, I know that I can't say this forever, I have never lost a case.

There are many types of policies available to the consumer. Many feel that they are properly covered until they need coverage and settlement. They are sometimes disappointed to find loopholes that give them only a fraction of the amount they are paying premiums for. Often, I am called after the fact. The time for documentation and the right type of policy is before a time of urgent need. You need solid protection. It is available.
The value of collector vehicles has been rising steadily to record heights over the past twelve years. Now, even with a mixed and insecure economy,  it is the time to update and confirm valuations.

                                               PRE-PURCHASE INSPECTION

We have been inspecting automobiles in the Southern California area since the early 1970s. We started by bird-dogging and inspecting exotic classics and racecars for British,Belgian, Dutch and Japanese dealers, and later, for East Coast, Southern and Mid-west collectors.
Our basic goal is to determine, to the best of our ability, that the car has been fairly represented to the potential buyer. That it isn't a replica, aircar, assemblage of mis-matched parts, bondo sled or rust-bucket. We do not profit either way if a car is or is not sold.
We have saved many buyers from disasterous mistakes. We have also helped many buyers find and acquire the car of their dreams. With stocks and currencies acting as they are, good collector cars are both fun and wise things to acquire.
Until recently, I never considered posting a disclaimer. I'm afraid that in these times there are parasitic people and attorneys who make it neccessary. The mechanical and deep under-frame probes are avoided now because of potential liability issues.

                                                                                   DISCLAIMER

A pre-purchase inspection can not determine the full, true condition of an automobile in all of it's complexity. We do not do compression tests or hoist the car up unless the owner offers to do it. We do not remove affixed carpeting or upholstery. We do not dismantle any part of the car unless the owner offers to do it. We do an honest evaluation of it's structural, cosmetic and mechanical condition based on what is presented to us. We determine it's fair market value based on current comparable machines. We are not influenced by economic gain. Only by the facts.

We do Antique and Classic Automobiles, Muscle and Collector Cars, Hotrods and Customs. Choppers and Classic Bikes. I work with all major insurance companies.  Over 30 years in the field. Undefeated in court. Expert witness in Valuation, Authenticity and Carbon Fiber Damage.

Check the Photo pages of the 14 Lolas, 12 Lotus', Various Ferrari, Maserati, Scarab, Elva, Abarth, British, U.S., Italian and German cars I've owned, run and/or messed with over the years. Today I don't own jack and multiple G-forces make my back tweek out, but I'm still the winningest appraiser on the block.. From learning to drive a Singer 9 in 1953 to a Magnum today. ========================================================
------------------------------------------------------------------------
1.  Learning to drive my Father's 1949 Singer 9 at 13 in 1953 on a roadcourse he was designing in Agoura. A 1949 car with 1100cc single overhead cam motor but no synchromesh gears, running mechanical brakes! No hydraulics.
2.  Our 1962 Ferrari SWB for driving the kids to school and 'goin' fast' in 1972
. Unusual with it's GTB headlights and Lusso tail lights and rear window.

Our other School Bus. King Saud's one of a kind Ghia-Mercedes 300. Armoured. Two radio generators in the trunk. Very heavy and slow.

Our Long Beach shop in 1983. Restoring classics, racecars and bikes. The car in front is actually a McLaren Mk4a in disguise.

At our Long Beach shop we've owned, restored and appraised sports and luxury cars, rods and customs and all types of collector vehicles. From Alvis to Zil.

The Elva Courier wasn't running. "Quen sabes?" "Hindi ko alam!

1986. Vintage Merlyn with ex-roomate and top jockey, Rachel Goodgame.
